Welcome to the Grems-Doolittle Library and Archives where we identify, collect, preserve and make available the records of enduring value which document the people and history of the City and County of Schenectady and, to a lesser degree, the surrounding areas and the State of New York.
We invite you to visit us at the Historic Society’s Museum at 32 Washington Avenue in the Stockade Historic District where we will be happy to assist you researching topics relating to history or genealogy. Can’t stop by? Some of our services are available by filling out the handy forms provided.
We are a private organization that receives no tax support so fees are associated with certain services.
Donated materials are solicited and accepted in conjunction with our collections policy.
If you have questions about anything on this site relating to the Grems-Doolittle Library and Archives please feel free to drop a note to our librarian.
We now have a blog about library news and collections - check it out at http://gremsdoolittlelibrary.blogspot.com/
